Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella
at the 5th Avenue Theatre
I am playing one of the step-sisters with my long time collaborator Nick Garrison- in drag as my fellow mayhem maker. I have never done the holiday show at the 5th Ave, but I hear it is a wild ride and I am excited to be part of a big ole’ musical, full orchestra, cast of thousands and merry making for the holidays. Cloud 9, by Caryl Churchill at Strawberry Theatre Workshop
Caryl Churchill’s fruitful collaboration with Joint Stock Theatre Company in the late 70′s brought about this gender bending tale of sexual oppression and the British Empire. Spanning 100 years and two continents- the play is rife with style, sexual aggression and characters struggling to connect. I play a 9 year old boy in the first act and his 20 something sister in the second act. Directed by Nick Garrison and starring myself, Ian Bell, Gretchen Krich, Imogene Love, James Cowan, Basil Harris and Scott Shoemaker.
